In case you haven't heard, there is now a monthly YW newsletter! We'll be posting it to the blog, but due to technical difficulties, this month's will be below in a not-so-cute format. Be looking for a new directory with birthdates, phone #s, blogs, etc.; the Sunday folder with lots of info including a place to track your PP; getting to know you sheets; someone who's day you can make better! Hope you have a FANTASTIC week and know how much we leaders love you girls!
MESSAGE FROM YOUR PRESIDENCY
Hey Cute Girls! You guys are so amazing! I love spending time with you lovely ladies. So let's get down to business...I hope you all have been working on your Personal Progress. I am working extra hard so that I can get my medallion and I want you all to get your medallions, too! I have been working on Virtue a lot lately and for the project you have to read the Book of Mormon. So that's what I have been doing and let me tell you the experience has been amazing! This is my second time reading this book and there are so many things inside it that are helpful and confronting. I'm currently in Mosiah 16. I read this scripture the other day: He is the light and life of the world; yea, a light that is endless that can never be darkened; yea and also life which is endless, that there can be no more death. (Mosiah 16:9). I challenge you young women to do everything you can to know this truth and work on your Personal Progress. Our Heavenly Father loves you so much and by doing these things you will be closer to him. Love y'all so much!! ~Shandy Neal
MESSAGE FROM YOUR LEADERS
There is a great new website fro the Youth of the Church that is linked to the LDS website. It is just your YOU!! The website address is www. youth.lds.org. There are so many great messages of encouragement and reminders to Be Strong and of Good Courage!! A message I watched on there was a message by our beloved prophet President Thomas S. Monson. He encourages all of us to not confuse What is important with what is NOT. In his message he states that those things that are most important in our lives usually involve people around us. Our neighbor next door who might need a kind note, that friend that you have neglected to show that you really care. I want to echo his message. Don't let those nearest and dearest to you ever question your love and concern for them. Give a child in your life a hug, give your parents a hug! Tell them you love them. Always express your appreciation to those who truly bless your lives. Say I love you more. His final statement simply said, "Never let a problem to be solved become more important thtn a person to be loved." I hope you always remember how much you are loved! Now go and show someone that they are love, too!! ~Jamie Lesko
